Welcome to the June 2024 “PubMed Selection by the Owl Eyes Academy“. On this occasion, we have reviewed all the articles from May 2024. A total of 37 articles have been published, from which we have selected the one published by Cristiano Spada in the journal The Lancet.

Cristiano Spada is an Italian gastroenterologist from the “Policlinico Gemelli” in Rome with special interest in capsule endoscopy. In fact, he is one of the “popes” in the technique all around the world.

This article, published in The Lancet, evaluates the efficacy of IA-assisted readings compared to standard readings. Again, we present in this section of the Owl Eyes Academy an article evaluating a critical evolution of capsule endoscopy. Judging by its results, this article could be a game changer in the short term.
