Case summary

A 70-year-old female patient presents to the hospital with chronic iron-deficiency anemia refractory to conservative treatment. Upper endoscopy and colonoscopy were performed, both with normal findings. Therefore, a capsule endoscopy was carried out, revealing the following image:
